Are you a good listener? Do you appreciate reminiscing with older folks and hearing stories from their past? Or helping them with household tasks, doing arts and crafts, or listening to music? Then please consider becoming a Favoured Hospice volunteer!
As a volunteer, you bring joy and meaning to a person’s day. You make life easier for the client (and their family) through your simple acts of kindness. And while you’re lifting their spirit, you fill your own heart as well.
We have an opening in our volunteer program for a companion volunteer for our patient at an assisted living facility in Rogers. She is a very sweet, social lady and loves chatting with others. The volunteer assignment is very flexible - at least two visits per month would be great!

Description
Volunteers are a vital part of our dedicated hospice team. By offering a few hours of their time a month, they bring peace, joy, and comfort to individuals navigating the last chapter of their life.
Volunteer roles: Companionship, pet therapy, card making, hairstylist, music, and vigil.
Service area: We serve patients throughout Minnesota wherever they consider home. This could be a long-term care center, assisted living, group home, private home, etc. Most of our current patients reside in Champlin, Ramsey, Plymouth, Minnetonka, Bloomington, and Monticello, but we are always continuing to grow and expand!
Time commitment/schedule: Flexible to your schedule! Visits can be made during the week or weekend. We usually ask that our companion/friendly visit volunteers visit weekly or every other week for about an hour.
