Bristol Hospice is a company that provides care to people with life limiting illnesses. Some of the people are able to remain in their own homes while others need the extra assistance of assisted living, memory care or nursing homes.
Music therapy can help hospice patients in many ways, including: Reducing stress and anxiety, Improving quality of life, managing pain, improving breathing, helping with memory loss, improving fine motor skills as well as providing motivation.
Since Volunteers are the heart of hospice, we want nothing more for our patients and caregivers than to bring a smile and be their friend and help brighten those difficult days.
Bristol Hospice believes that "every patient matters to the last moment of their life" and we are graciously committed to our mission that all patients and families entrusted to our care will be treated with the highest level of compassion, respect, and quality care.
We take the safety of our patients very seriously and ensure that all volunteers are properly screened and trained. Our volunteers must complete the required training, background and reference checks and TB screen before any volunteer duties. We provide ongoing education, related resources, supervision, and support to members of the volunteer team.
