Volunteers are the heart of hospice. We want nothing more for our patients and caregivers than to bring a smile, to be a friend and help brighten those difficult days.
Bristol Hospice believes that "every person matters to the last moment of their life", and we are graciously committeed to our mission that all patients entrusted to our care will be treated with the highest level of compassion, respect, and quality of care.
We take the safety of our patients seriously and ensure that all volunteers are properly screened and trained. Our volunteers must complete training, background and reference checks, and TB screen before performing any volunteer duties. Bristol Hospice provides ongoing education, related resources, supervision, and support to members of the volunteer team.
