This role is crucial for sustaining and expanding the impact of the charity’s work. The volunteer will assist in researching, identifying, and applying for grants, as well as developing creative fundraising strategies.
Responsibilities:- Grant Research & Writing: Identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, government agencies, and Christian organizations. Assist in writing compelling grant proposals that align with the mission and projects of the NGO.
- Fundraising Campaigns: Plan and execute fundraising initiatives such as crowdfunding campaigns, charity events, and church partnership programs.
- Donor Engagement: Help cultivate relationships with donors by drafting thank-you letters, newsletters, and updates on how their contributions are making a difference.
- Event Coordination: Assist in planning fundraising events such as charity dinners, auctions, walkathons, or gospel concerts.
- Social Media & Online Fundraising: Work with the social media team to create engaging online donation campaigns, leveraging platforms like GoFundMe, Facebook Fundraisers, or GiveSendGo.
- Reporting & Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of donor contributions, grant applications, and fundraising performance metrics.
- Strong writing and research skills.
- Experience with fundraising, grant writing, or nonprofit development (preferred but not required).
- Passion for Christian ministry and charity work.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Creativity in fundraising strategy development.
