The Idaho Hunger Relief Task Force is seeking benefits access volunteers to help increase statewide participation in SNAP (formerly known as food stamps). Benefits access volunteers will play a key role in providing sustainable, long-term food assistance to Idahoans by providing SNAP eligibility and enrollment assistance to interested individuals. Whether it’s by providing informal assistance in the community, formally providing SNAP application assistance via the mRelief platform, or helping the Task Force at tabling events, benefits access volunteers help bring the Task Force’s vision for a hunger free Idaho to life.
Benefits access volunteers will set their own schedules, and will be compensated with store-specific gift cards as a thank you for their time and expertise ($15/hour). Interested individuals should complete a short volunteer interest application and attend a training session before beginning their volunteer work.
No experience required! For additional information, visit the Task Force’s website. Join us in creating a stronger, food secure Idaho - volunteer today!

Mission Statement
Our mission is to put private and public resources into action statewide in order to eliminate hunger and provide food security for all Idahoans. In a state as abundant as Idaho, hunger should not exist.
Description
The Task Force has a rich history rooted in addressing the pressing issue of hunger within the state of Idaho, going back to 2006 with the first statewide "Summit on Hunger and Food Insecurity." Our vision extends beyond providing immediate relief; it encompasses a future where every Idahoan has consistent access to nutritious food, empowering them to thrive and contribute fully to their communities. It's about building resilience and sustainability, ensuring that no individual or family experiences the effects of hunger. By addressing hunger comprehensively, we create a foundation for a healthier, more equitable society where everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Our work includes SNAP education and enrollment assistance, Food is Medicine programs, and advocacy.
