Hospice Patient Sitter
ORGANIZATION: Passages Hospice
Please visit the new page to apply.

A hospice patient sitter volunteer provides non-medical comfort and companionship to patients and their families. Occasionally, patient's family/caregivers need relief to run errands, attend doctors appointments, etc.., and some do not have family to help. In this case, a volunteer would offer their time to help the family. Volunteer sitters cannot do anything medical, and can not sit for longer than three hours at a time. While sitting, volunteers can provide companionship, read, watch tv, do puzzles or anything of the sort that the patient may be up to doing. If this opportunity seems like something you would be interested in doing, please reach out!
