A Google Translate job may involve translating documents, working with business partners, or managing data and translation. Translator:
- Translate written and audio content from one language to another
- Use specialized dictionaries and translation tools
- Ensure the translated content maintains the original meaning, tone, and format
- Proofread translations
- Prepare subtitles for videos and presentations
- Maintain a translation database
- Resolve issues related to translation, localization, and culture
- Work with other departments to provide translation services
- Use computer processing skills, including Google Suite and Microsoft Office
- Assist other teams with data management and translation
- Work with contractors on data entry management
- Develop ETL procedures and workflows
- Translate materials using Google Translate
- Report to buildings that require the most ESL or ELD support
- Update bulletin boards
- Translate departmental documents into English and other languages
- Use Microsoft Office, Google Documents, and Slides
