The Volunteer Onboarding Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring a smooth and engaging onboarding experience for new volunteers at WE, The World. This individual will develop and implement onboarding processes that align with the organization’s mission to promote peace, justice, and sustainability.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute a comprehensive onboarding process for new volunteers.
  • Collaborate with the Volunteer Coordinator to identify onboarding needs and bottlenecks.
  • Develop training materials, guides, and resources to support volunteer roles.
  • Conduct welcome sessions and provide initial training for new volunteers.
  • Act as a point of contact for new volunteers during their onboarding period.
  • Gather feedback from new volunteers to improve the onboarding experience.
  • Ensure alignment with WE, The World’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in volunteer management, HR, or related fields.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to create engaging training materials and lead sessions.
  • A passion for WE, The World’s mission and values.
  • Familiarity with tools like Basecamp, Monday.com, or Google Workspace is a plus.

Commitment:
This is a volunteer role, and the time commitment is flexible, though consistent availability is preferred during onboarding cycles.

Imagine 4 times a year, groups like MoveOn, Greenpeace and Amnesty International coordinating their action campaigns with hundreds of other global organizations, thousands of smaller groups and millions of people around the world, shifting societal consciousness and creating political will.

We, The World has developed the Strategic Alliances and has the team to achieve that level of global collaboration and effectiveness. In 2004, We, The World launched 11 Days of Global Unity which now annually has more than 700 associated events in over 60 countries. WE Campaign is based on the successful model of 11 Days of Global Unity Campaign.
