Are you passionate about mindfulness, mental well-being, and community impact? Awaken Pittsburgh is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Board Vice President to help guide our organization’s mission and growth.

About Awaken Pittsburgh
We bring mindfulness-based practices to individuals and organizations, fostering resilience, compassion, and social-emotional well-being. As we grow, we need strong leadership to support our vision.

About the Role
As our Board Vice President, you will work closely with the Board President and Executive Director, providing leadership and governance to ensure we fulfill our mission. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in strategic decision-making, board engagement, and resource development while advocating for mindfulness and social-emotional learning in our communities.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Collaborate with the Board President to provide leadership and strategic direction.
✔ Chair the Governance Committee and support board development.
✔ Serve as a key liaison between the board, executive leadership, and stakeholders.
✔ Support fundraising efforts and resource development.
✔ Step in for the Board President as needed and contribute to succession planning.

Who We’re Looking For
✔ A committed leader with a passion for our mission.
✔ Experience in nonprofit governance, leadership, or strategic planning.
✔ Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
✔ Willingness to engage in fundraising and resource development.

Time Commitment: 10 hours/month
