Mary Health of the Sick Convalescent and Skilled Nursing Hospital are seeking passionate and dedicated volunteers to join our Development Department for our upcoming events. By volunteering, you’ll be a vital part of something much bigger than an event - you’ll be helping create meaningful experiences that positively impact our community and support causes that matter. Your time and effort can truly change lives!

Here are the ways you can get involved:

  • Donation Outreach : Help connect with generous donors who believe in making a difference. Your efforts will directly impact our ability to provide for those in need and ensure our events succeed.
  • Day-of Event Support : From setting up to assisting guests, you’ll help create unforgettable moments for attendees, ensuring that every detail comes together for an incredible experience.
  • Gala Preparations : Join us in preparing for our annual gala on November 8, 2025. Your help with organizing and decorating will make this special evening even more magical for everyone involved.
  • Yearly Events & Garden Parties : Be part of the team that plans and coordinates our seasonal events, bringing joy and connection to those who attend and participate.

The mission of Mary Health of the Sick Convalescent and Nursing Hospital is to provide the highest level of long-term care in southern California. The community of Sisters, Servants of Mary, Ministers to the Sick, is dedicated to helping in the personal life transition of each resident and his/her family with a spirit and expression of love and concern. Mary Health pursues excellence in the care of the whole person - body, mind, and soul.

Description

  • Located in Newbury Park, California, Mary Health of the Sick is a 24-hour skilled nursing facility. It is owned and operated by the Servants of Mary, Ministers to the Sick, a Catholic congregation of women religious who dedicate their lives to providing loving, compassionate nursing care to people of all faiths. The Sisters, who live on the premises of the hospital, founded and opened its doors on June 20, 1964. The hospital has served the needs of over 4,000 men and women of all faiths since its inception. The Sisters’ ministry is an extension of Christ’s mission of bringing hope to the suffering, healing to the sick, and comfort to the dying. Their sacred aspiration is to accompany the frail elderly and terminally ill, along with their families, on life’s final transition.
