Join our team and make a difference in the community! We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to assist with a variety of roles. Whether you're guiding visitors, helping prepare programs, or supporting special events, your contribution will have a lasting impact.

Available Volunteer Positions:

  • Docents: Lead engaging tours and share the story of our exhibitions with visitors of all ages.
  • Program Prep Volunteers: Assist with the setup and preparation of educational programs and activities.
  • Story Connections Docent Volunteers: Lead special tours designed for individuals experiencing memory loss and their caregivers, providing a meaningful experience.
  • Event & Reception Support: Help with the setup, execution, and breakdown of events, including opening receptions and special gatherings.

Description

The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures preserves and exhibits the largest fine-scale miniature collection in the world and one of the largest toy collections on public display in the United States. The museum opened in 1982 as the Toy and Miniature Museum of Kansas City. Since then, the museum has engaged audiences through special exhibitions, events, and programming.
