Campground Host - Elk Creek Campground

The campground host is stationed at the Elk Creek Campground in Curecanti National Recreation Area on the Western Slope of Colorado. Hosts work 32-40 hours per week and are managed by the National Park Service. The hours may be divided between a couple. Uniform shirts are provided and required. Hosts are front-line National Park Service ambassadors who provide a welcoming environment to visitors. Start and end dates are flexible.
Elk Creek Campground is located on US Highway 50, 20 miles west of Gunnison, CO. Elk Creek Campground is adjacent to the Blue Mesa Reservoir, the largest body of water in the state of Colorado. There are 155 campsites including electric sites and walk-in campsites. Ranger programs are in full swing during the summer at the campground amphitheater. Gunnison is the closest town for shopping, restaurants, and other amenities. Host site amenities include electric, water, and sewer. Cell phone reception is unreliable.
