Eleanor Roosevelt National Historic Site preserves the home of trailblazing activist and First Lady, Eleanor Roosevelt. Known as "Val-Kill", this tranquil property is where Mrs. Roosevelt relaxed with her family and friends, hosted national and world political leaders, and worked to promote human rights for all. Opened to the public in 1984, the site now shares the legacy of Eleanor Roosevelt with tens of thousands of visitors each year.
