Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Do you have a creative spark and a desire to help shape the future of our communities? If so, we want YOU to join our YEA! (Youth Engagement & Advocacy) Program as a Youth Education Curriculum Developer Volunteer.
At CORA, we are committed to empowering youth across San Mateo County with the knowledge and skills they need to build healthy, respectful relationships. Through our engaging and interactive workshops, we discuss important topics such as consent, boundaries, technology safety, and healthy relationships. As a Youth Education Curriculum Developer Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of this program.
You will work directly with both our Youth Educator and our Manager of Prevention & Community Engagement to develop innovative, engaging curriculum that resonates with middle and high school students. You’ll have the opportunity to create content on vital topics like self-care, conflict resolution, and more, all aimed at helping youth understand the importance of healthy relationships in their lives.

Primary Duties/Responsibilties:
- Shadow 4-6 YEA! Workshops, led by CORA’s Youth Educator, to understand the structure and goals of the program
- Create engaging and interactive curriculum and content that aligns with the program’s objectives
- Develop new materials for youth participants to use and benefit from

Description
Who We Are
CORA is the only agency in San Mateo County with the sole purpose of serving victims/survivors of domestic violence/abuse. We are a multicultural agency committed to serving victims/survivors, regardless of age, ethnicity/race, financial status, language, sexual orientation, immigration status, class, religion, gender, mental or physical ability.
We provide free and confidential emergency, intervention and prevention services, including the county's only emergency shelter and transitional housing for victims/survivors and services in Spanish and English.

REQUIREMENTS
- Background Check
- Must be at least 19
- Orientation or Training
- Start in April 2025. Days and times are flexible, with the position being mostly remote. In-person onboarding will take place for the first month. Minimum of 3 hours per week, 3–6-month commitment.
- Background in working with youth or a strong passion for youth empowerment. Creative, with an ability to design and structure engaging content. Independent and self-motivated. Ability to work remotely and use your personal computer for online task.
