As a Meals on Wheels driver, you’ll deliver more than just a meal-you’ll provide connection and care to those who need it most. Sign up today and make a difference, one lunch hour at a time!

How It Works:

  • Meals are picked up at 11:00 AM on weekdays, with delivery routes taking about one hour.
  • You get the names and addresses, then set out to deliver, making anywhere between 5-8 stops, in your own vehicle.
  • Deliver once a month, once a week, or more - your choice!
  • Keep a consistent route or fill in to take any open route.

Why It Matters:
Delivering meals is more than food. It's care, connection, and compassion for homebound neighbors in need - keeping them in their own homes, longer.

Join our volunteer team and help make Minneapolis a stronger, more connected community!

About Community Emergency Service

Location:

1900 11th Ave. South, Minneapolis, MN 55404, US

Mission Statement

Community Emergency Service transforms lives by serving neighbors, sharing resources and becoming community - a place where people come hungry and leave hopeful.

Description

Community Emergency Service is a multi-service non-profit organization that runs a number of food based assistance programs for Minneapolis residents. Our main programs include: Food Shelf, Meals on Wheels, Home Delivery, Bonus Friday Distribution, and East African Food Distribution.

CES is located within one of the most diverse, densely populated neighborhoods in Minneapolis; over 20,000 people live within its boundaries. 46% of families living in the Phillips neighborhood are below the federal poverty level.

At CES, we strive to serve all our neighbors in need without distinction or test. We invite support from volunteers and donors and are open to collaboration with other agencies, regardless of religious affiliation.

Will you help us move people from hunger to hope?
