Wrightsville Beach Museum is located in Myers Cottage in the Wrightsville Beach Historic Square (on the north side of WB Park). Myers Cottage is one of the oldest structures on the beach and perhaps the only building that has not been significantly renovated. WBM is a small community nonprofit dependent on community volunteers to maintain. Built between 1907-1909, Myers Cottage was relocated from Lumina Ave to WB Park thirty years ago. We are looking for volunteers to help us with a general clean up and maintenance project in anticipation of the summer season. This primarily would be general activities like cleaning the porch and very basic landscaping support, but also offers potential to get involved with preservation activities and outdoor exhibit design. This is a fantastic opportunity for people with an interest in the practical realities of historic preservation and outdoor exhibits or anyone who simply wants to help serve an organization that serves their community.
