HONK!TX is back for its 2025 festival! This 3-day community street band festival features some of the most exciting, original, and talented radical marching bands from around Texas and the world playing absolutely free in the streets and parks of Austin. We can’t make it happen without your support! The event will take place on March 28 - March 30, 2025, with Friday at Jackalope South Shore, Saturday at Mueller Lake Park, and Sunday at Pan-Am Park. Volunteers are needed for a wide variety of tasks and times. HONK!TX is a community driven, volunteer-run festival! Join in the fun and volunteer with us! HONK!TX is a nonprofit, community-driven festival that brings street and brass bands from around the country to perform for free in the public spaces of Austin, Texas.
Description
Mobile and unamplified, HONK! bands transform everyday locations into spontaneous stages, dissolving the line between crowd and performers and inviting everyone to celebrate the joys of music and community. A range of genres will be represented: New Orleans second-line brass, European Klezmer and Balkan, Brazilian, West African and more. HONK! is a celebration of community, collaboration and creative expression. Join the revelry!
