Outreach Leads serve as a crucial bridge between Remember the ToothFairy and the community. They lead teams of 2-3 volunteers to deliver Outreach Presentations to elementary schools and community centers throughout the South Bay, and occasionally, virtually. These Outreach Programs promote fun learning of the importance of healthy brushing habits, and how to properly brush your teeth. For more information about these Outreach Programs, please visit our website here: https://rememberthetoothfa.wixsite.com/my-site-1/education Outreach Leads are expected to lead at least 1-2 Outreach Events per month. Most Outreach Events happen from 3:30pm-5:30pm. They will also be a part of our Executive Team, which is the backbone of our organization. The Executive Team meets 1 time per month to discuss the past month's progress and future plans for Remember the ToothFairy. Outreach Leads are expected to commit at least 1-2 years to this role. Mission Statement
Remember the ToothFairy is a student-led non profit organization working to instill healthy brushing habits in children through early education. Our team understands that poor oral health goes beyond cavities and gum diseases. In fact, children who have bad brushing habits often miss school more and receive lower grades than children that don’t. Through our service events, fundraisers, chapters, and partnerships, Remember the ToothFairy is ensuring a future with healthy smiles. From our members to our volunteers, we are devoted to the mission of helping as many children as we can.
Description
Remember the ToothFairy is a nonprofit based in the San Fransisco Bay Area aimed to instill good brushing habits in children from low-income communities nationwide through our three service programs. We donate toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, and other types of dental hygiene equipment, host interactive, educational outreach events in the community, and partner with dental clinics to provide discounts and easier access to oral health.
