The birding volunteer will contribute significantly to conservation efforts, enhance visitor education, and support the park staff in preserving the natural habitat.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in identifying various bird species within the park.
- Support Park rangers in conducting birding and educational programs.
- Provide information to visitors about Caldera and the birds in the area.
- Work alongside the park ranger and Fish and Feathers intern to assist in birding activities.
- Join the regular birding events to help with bird spotting and educating participants.
- Participate in birding events by bike, held on the 4th Sunday of each month (e-bike provided).
Schedule:
- 2nd and 4th Sundays
- 4-6 times a month, 3-4 hours each day.
