2025 Birding Volunteer

ORGANIZATION: National Park Service

The birding volunteer will contribute significantly to conservation efforts, enhance visitor education, and support the park staff in preserving the natural habitat.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in identifying various bird species within the park.
  • Support Park rangers in conducting birding and educational programs.
  • Provide information to visitors about Caldera and the birds in the area.
  • Work alongside the park ranger and Fish and Feathers intern to assist in birding activities.
  • Join the regular birding events to help with bird spotting and educating participants.
  • Participate in birding events by bike, held on the 4th Sunday of each month (e-bike provided).

Schedule:

  • 2nd and 4th Sundays
  • 4-6 times a month, 3-4 hours each day.

Start Date - 2025-05-01

End Date - 2025-10-31
