Mission Statement
Lovie’s Pearls empowers teen moms through education, edification and encouragement so they and their children will succeed in life. We envision nationwide second chance homes so teen moms and their babies can live in a safe space to grow and thrive.
Description
Lovie’s Pearls is a charitable 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2012, and reestablished in 2017, created to empower teen moms with education, edification and encouragement.
We have a comprehensive program that covers a wide range of areas crucial for the development and success of these young moms. From empowerment and money matters to self-care, parenting tips, healthy relationships, CPR training, career workshops, and more. Lovie's Pearls offers a holistic approach towards success. Since 2019, we have been dedicated to teen moms in Klein ISD (over 51% economically disadvantaged). In 2023 we began empowering teen moms in Aldine ISD (over 91% economically challenged). We are currently working with Spring ISD (89% economically disadvantaged), to create a system to connect with their teen mom students. To date we have awarded $11,000 in scholarships and put over $36,500 into our Outreach Program. We offer scholarships a workforce program to provide certifications and training for those teen moms who are ready to directly enter the workforce, ensuring they have the skills needed to secure high-waged in-demand employment. In the future Lovie’s Pearls is planning to open its first of many Second Chance Homes. These family-style structured homes will help develop and/or restore character, responsibility and integrity while giving young mothers the tools needed to create a loving and safe environment for themselves and their children.
