Hi Chaplain Lisa here, Our Enhabit volunteers are the heart of Hospice. They enhance the lives of others, while just being present, listening, sitting bedside to allow family members to run errands or take a break. There is such an important need for Hospice volunteers as they surely do make a powerful impact serving during end of life journeys. Volunteers are needed to continue to touch hearts and change lives.

About Enhabit Home Health and Hospice

Location:

1635 N Greenfield Rd, Suite 126, Mesa, AZ 85205, US

Mission Statement

At Enhabit, we provide support to people facing life-threatening illness and shortened life expectancy so that they may live as fully and comfortably as possible. We, at Enhabit, believe death is a natural part of, and necessary to the closure of, life, as we know it. It is our philosophy that dying persons have the potential to learn, teach, console, enjoy, plan, and laugh during this period of life.

Description

One of the fundamental principles of our hospice philosophy is to honor patient choices and "meet them where they are". Each person is different and should be honored and respected for who they are, not for what we want them to be or think they should be.

Our volunteers make a difference in the lives of others by providing comfort and support to patients facing a life -limiting illness.
Volunteers ensure the patient and family needs are met through compassion, companionship, assisting in everyday tasks, and providing respite time to a patient's caregiver.
