Are you passionate about sharing culture, history, or the arts? HI NYC is looking for volunteers to lead engaging presentations or activities at our weekly Monday & Thursday Welcome Parties-a fun, social event where travelers from around the world connect!

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead a short presentation or interactive activity during our Monday or Thursday Welcome Party
  • Highlight a holiday, heritage month, NYC history, or arts & culture topic
  • Help create a welcoming, educational, and fun experience for travelers visiting from all over the world
  • Inspire meaningful conversations and cultural exchange

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Enthusiastic storytellers, educators, creatives, or culture/history lovers
  • Comfortable speaking in front of a group
  • Open to leading an activity or presentation in-hostel, atleast once a month

Who We Are

We bring travelers together in the largest hostel network in the USA, but that’s just the start: from local tours and experiences, to experiential learning programs, HI USA strives to bring moments of cultural understanding to our guests and community members. HI USA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, member-based organization that reinvests our surpluses back into our hostels and programs so they can have an even greater impact, year after year.
