Please visit the new page to apply.

The National STEM Society designs, develops, and delivers the most delightful, entertaining educational experiences imaginable. Our Administration teams support our national projects by providing the resources, tools, and information needed to create extraordinary SPARK STEM experiences. We believe in educating, initiating, and innovating young lives today for tomorrow's social response to increasing statistics for girls and women in STEM careers and fields.
Safety first, people inclusivity, innovation, and creativity are core values of our nonprofit organization and why these core values exist in everything we do.
This post is more than a volunteer opportunity. We are asking for your help to continue building the next Women in STEM programs and local chapters in Central Florida, North Georgia, and New York to support our youth, girls, and women's growth beyond a career platform in educational training, workshops, and more. We value volunteers with a creative mind, supportive outlook, and inclusivity attitude, which are always needed to help our teams grow at every step in the creative process to expand existing programs and develop new innovative solutions.
VOLUNTEERS WANTED
Our team is forming a committee every quarter in 2025 of volunteers ready to join us in managing and expanding the National STEM Society's events reach in 2025 toward our 10 years of service anniversary goals to create new opportunities for students in grades K-College and women seeking ways to be involved in STEM fun learning, educational, and research outreach initiatives through a chapter membership.
Ready to get started?
Click on the volunteer registration link below to confirm your interest, and you will be added to the committee list to contact. Submitting a volunteer application or inquiry via email does not guarantee placement as a volunteer.
Please follow the remaining requirements listed below for further consideration.
To get to know you, please email your resume to info@nationalstemsociety.org and tell us a little about yourself and your volunteer experience. We would love to learn more about you and why you have decided to volunteer for this opportunity. Thank you
The second quarter committee starts on March 22nd. Information will be shared with confirmed and verified new volunteers that will evolve to an annual membership with the National STEM Society. This outreach initiative is to build memberships in Florida, Georgia, and New York to launch local chapters in Central Florida, Atlanta, GA, and New York, New York. Our goal of meeting for 90 days is to kick off the annual Women in STEM Day activities in May 2025.
We need your help for future Introduce a Girl to Engineering Days in February, annual Women in STEM activities in May, and the annual STEM Day in November.
A background screening is required for all volunteers 16 years of age and older. We value the safety of the volunteers, students, parents, teachers, schools, and communities we serve. During the selection process, all confirmed volunteers must complete child sexual abuse awareness training for all onsite event participation involving students in K-12th grades, reference checks (for specific volunteer roles), and a background check for on-site, in-person events and program volunteer opportunities.
Through our partnership with NCSI, the National Center for Safety Initiatives will perform each comprehensive background check (a nationwide county criminal search, federal, and two sex offenders registry searches) for $35. We ask all volunteers, staff members, and partners over the age of 16 to contribute a $20 donation toward their background check at https://nationalstemsociety.org/how-do-i-donate/
From the website, enter a custom amount and click donate. The National STEM Society will cover the remaining cost of $15 through safety sponsorship funding.
Submitting a volunteer application or inquiry does not guarantee placement as a volunteer. Volunteer candidates will be accepted based on the event or program needs and the volunteer candidate qualifications to meet the requirements as determined during the selection process. Incomplete volunteer applications will not be considered for review. If a suitable volunteer opportunity is available when your application is submitted, you will be contacted by the Volunteer Coordinator or other staff members.
