Interpretation Volunteer (RV Pad Available)

This position is based out of the Interpretation division at Wright Brothers National Memorial. As team members, volunteers will perform duties to support the day-to-day operations in the visitor center which may include directing visitors throughout the park, answering common or repeated questions, or roving and delivering programs and flyer demos. Other duties may include supporting the opening and closing of the visitor center and other facilities on park grounds and swearing in junior rangers. Light cleanup of the exhibits and visitor center may be required.
An RV site with full hook-ups (must provide your own RV) is available with a 32 hour a week commitment at a nearby park site. The commute would be roughly 20-30 minutes to Wright Brothers National Memorial depending on traffic. The Outer Banks has many modern conveniences, such as grocery stores, retail shopping, banks, a hospital, and many restaurants.
