We’re excited to offer a volunteer fundraising position within our North American division. The role involves market research, data entry and international outreach to potential funders including foundations, corporations, philanthropic, government donors and partners.

Location: Remote

Role: Our organization, The Wilms Cancer Foundation, is dedicated to supporting children battling kidney cancer and their families internationally.

To achieve our fundraising goals, we create meaningful partnerships with " tax and estate planning firms" to establish a mutually beneficial collaboration that leverages charitable giving opportunities for their clients while advancing our mission.

Specifically, we reduce their tax burdens while generating charitable donations to our foundation by offering a "suite of charitable related tax solutions" including:

Charitable Tax Receipts;

Gifting Publicly Traded Securities;

Registered Accounts & Life Insurance;

Planned Giving Programs;

Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs);

Securities & RRSP/RRIF Donations;

Charitable Remainder Trusts (CRTs);

Responsibilities: We require an experienced fundraising professional with expertise in "charitable giving" to identify, develop and manage new and existing partnerships.

Time Commitment: 10 hours per week

Why Volunteer with Us: While this is initially offered as a volunteer position, it is hoped that it will transition to full time paid employment. Significant job placement opportunities include;

Work for an internationally recognised non-profit/ children’s cancer charity;

Make valuable contacts through excellent networking prospects;

Potential for a full-time position pending funding;

Secure a valuable future reference;

Real world learning of non-profits and the charitable sector;

Gain practical experience in data entry and international outreach;

Enhance communication and organizational skills;

Contribute to a meaningful cause.
