Community Liaison (Volunteer) - Climbing Organizations & Gyms

Position Summary:
The Community Liaison connects southern Arizona local climbing organizations and gyms to ensure smooth communication, event coordination, and schedule alignment. This role helps prevent scheduling conflicts with climbing organizations, shares updates across all platforms, and organizes promotional materials. The additional role of this position will be to connect CASA with other climbing organizations in the rest of the state of Arizona.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and share a central calendar for events, competitions, and programs in the Tucson area
• Communicate with local Tucson climbing gyms and organizations to avoid scheduling conflicts
• Ensure Tucson climbing organization's and gyms' event schedules and updates are shared via websites, social media, and newsletters.
• Collect and coordinate promotional materials like flyers and graphics.
• Assist with updating online platforms and community announcements.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Experience in event planning, outreach, or marketing.
• Familiarity with climbing gyms and the local climbing community.
• Ability to manage schedules and work with multiple groups.
• Basic knowledge of social media and digital communication tools.

This role may involve remote work, attending local events in Tucson, and occasional travel to climbing facilities. Flexible hours may be needed.

This role provides a great opportunity to use your networking skills to support the Tucson climbing community, learn about other local climbing organizations and what they offer, plus connect with local climbers.
