Join Heart of Compassion to help prepare donated flowers to be distributed throughout the local community.
Why: We are seeking creative volunteers to help arrange, cut, and prepare flowers to be distributed to the surrounding community.
Who: Heart of Compassion's mission is to be a lighthouse of volunteers fighting poverty and restoring hope
What to Expect: As a food distribution center, Heart of Compassion recieves donations from many different organizations. Friday is when we receive flower donations from local partners.
Volunteer will be arranging flowers inside the volunteer breakroom
Volunteers are welcome to bring their own pruning supplies (such as shears or scissors).
What's Required:
Volunteers must be 18 and properly onboarded before beginning any floral projects.
Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing.
This opportunity is not always guaranteed and volunteers will be informed day of for any cancellations.

Our mission is to be a lighthouse of volunteers fighting poverty and restoring hope.
Description
Heart of Compassion is dedicated to being a lighthouse of hope and help for Montebello and our local communities. We rely on our valuable volunteers to help us achieve our mission of Fighting Hunger and Feeding Hope. We currently provide loads of groceries for about 600 families weekly at our public food distributions.
Mondays 9a.m.-12p.m.: volunteers needed to bag produce
Tuesdays and Wednesdays 8-11a.m.: volunteers needed to register recipients
Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9a.m.-12p.m.: volunteers needed to load groceries into shopping carts and recipient vehicles
