As the largest science and history center in Idaho, we are dedicated to showcasing the state's rich history, unique science exhibits, and world-class traveling exhibits. Our volunteer docents play a key role in enriching the visitor experience by helping guide tours, answer questions, and provide context for exhibits.
Our Needs: Gallery Attendants: Support guests by answering questions, ensuring a welcoming environment, and fostering a sense of discovery throughout the museum. Docents: Help with hands-on learning activities and special programs that engage children and adults alike. Interactive Tour Guides: Share insights about Idaho's history, from Native American heritage to modern times, and engage visitors with fun, informative storytelling. Your passion and knowledge will help inspire and educate our visitors while preserving Idaho's history and scientific achievements for future generations! This is a weekly opportunity that is typically 4 hours long. This position requires you to be able to stand for a good portion of the time.More opportunities with Museum of Idaho

Description
The Museum of Idaho, located in downtown Idaho Falls, is the Gem State’s largest history and science center, with significant Idaho collections, high-profile traveling exhibits, and a wide array of educational programs and fun events for young and old.
The Museum of Idaho is dedicated to the development and support of programs, classes, exhibits and other educational activities as well as collaborations with local educators and other organizations (both private and public) with similar goals to enhance existing educational efforts.
