We are seeking a dedicated enthusiastic Community Engagment Coordinator to join our team and help expand our presence in the community. This volunteer role is essential for increasing awareness of our mission and building connections with community members and organizations. This position is flexible, around 2-5 hours/week, and offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for a mix of remote and in-person engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Community Research and Coordination:
*Research local events and opportunities where we can set up an outreach table
*Coordinate event logistics, including reserving spaces and setting up materials
*Ensure that the appropriate outreach materials are prepared and available for each event
Community Engagement:
*Attend community events to represent the Conejo Free Clinic
*Build relationships with other organizations and community members to increase our reach
*Actively promote our programs and services to the community
Volunteer Coordination:
*Recruit and coordinate volunteers t assist at outreach events
*Communicate event details and responsibilities to volunteers
*Provide guidance and support to volunteers during events
Qualifications:
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and volunteers
*Comfortable engaging with the community and representing the organization
**Ideally flexible with work hours to accomodate event schedules

Description
The Conejo Free Clinic is a leader in the non-profit safety net for low-income, uninsured adults and children in Ventura County and North Los Angeles County.
The CFC’s all-volunteer team is the foundation of our patient care delivery system, consisting of over 100 physicians, nurses, dentists, dental specialists, attorneys, Private Practice Partners and support staff. All team members generously contribute their personal time and professional expertise. The quality of CFC care is highly respected because of this network that leverages optimal access to care for the best possible patient and client outcomes.
