The responsibilities of a CPI Class Instructor are split into two main areas: being a live instructor and working on creating videos. If you’re accepted as a CPI class instructor, you can choose to teach live classes or create videos or both. Please ping/DM trisha0025 or 7777777.777777 on Discord (https://discord.gg/VCxUzdYhzN) once you have applied.
Live Instruction
Instructors will teach live, online classes for students in the Bronze and Silver divisions of USACO. Each class consists of 9 two-hour sessions. You don’t have to be available for the full 9 weeks, though it is preferred. You can earn 3 volunteer hours per session (2 hour session + 1 hour prep time).
Video Creation
Instructors will create video classes for CPI’s self study classes. Videos will consist of solutions to selected competitive programming problems as well as lectures on competitive programming topics.
Requirements:
Bronze instructors for live classes should be in USACO Silver or higher
Silver instructors for live classes should be in USACO Gold or higher
Since the CPI self study classes support both C++ and Java, instructors doing video creation are required to be familiar with both of these languages
There are no division requirements for instructors creating videos
