Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Grant Acquisition & Fundraising Manager (Volunteer) to help secure funding for our nonprofit’s mission. This role is perfect for someone looking to gain experience in nonprofit fundraising, grant writing, and donor engagement while making a meaningful impact in government tax transparency and financial literacy.

Responsibilities:

  • Grant Research & Identification: Identify and research grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources.
  • Grant Writing & Submission: Draft compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and applications.
  • Donor & Grantor Outreach: Build relationships with potential funders, grant-making institutions, and philanthropic organizations.
  • Fundraising Strategy Development: Assist in planning and executing fundraising campaigns, including individual and corporate giving initiatives.
  • Grant Reporting & Compliance: Track grant deadlines, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Work with internal teams to gather necessary data, financials, and impact metrics for proposals.
  • Database Management: Maintain records of grant applications, funder communications, and donation tracking.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong writing, research, and organizational skills.
  • Interest in nonprofit fundraising and grant acquisition.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit development is a plus but not required.
  • Enjoys people and building relationships

Time Commitment: Flexible, with an estimated 5-10 hours per week, remote-friendly.
