The Benefit Concert is a fundraising event that looks at the past, present, and future of SOUNDS Academy.

This concert will celebrate the impact of our programs and celebrate the successes of our students, teachers, and SOUNDS Academy Family. Guests will listen to speakers and performances that will include our students and local guest artists. 100% of the proceeds from this concert will go towards spreading music education opportunities for children in Title-1 Schools and lower income neighborhoods. If you too believe that the zip code of a child should not dictate their access to music education, please join us to learn how you can help to make a difference.

About SOUNDS ACADEMY

3738 N 16th St., PHOENIX, AZ 85006, US

Mission Statement

SOUNDS Academy is a non-profit music education program that teaches, mentors, and provides musical experiences and opportunities to underserved youth.

Description

Today SOUNDS Academy gives instruments and weekly instruction to 300 students through its Community and Strings Programs. They have served over 19,000 students through the Musical Access Program. They do this through outreach programs that focus on teaching the values of creativity, leadership, perseverance, resilience, and teamwork through music education.
Our vision is to provide music education opportunities to a wide variety of children while removing any barriers that children may have in receiving quality music education. We serve underserved communities, primarily in West and South Phoenix, Arizona that do not have music education due to affordability and accessibility.
