JEXA is seeking talented grant writers at all experience levels, from seasoned veterans to promising newcomers, to help us secure funding for our young jazz musician grants, masterclasses, performances, and gala.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
Research grant opportunities aligned with our mission
Write compelling grant proposals.
Assist in gathering necessary information from our team.
Help manage submission deadlines.
Track submitted grants and aid in follow-up processes.
Ideal Volunteer:
Excellent written, verbal, and research skills
Passion for music education and supporting young artists
Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines
In-depth knowledge of grant writing best practices and funding landscapes
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with or knowledge of JEXA's focus areas
Familiarity with grant management software
Time Commitment:
Flexible, approximately 2-5 hours per week
Remote work is possible, with occasional virtual meetings.
