Do you love basketball? Want to make a real difference to developing basketball athletes? Special Olympics North Carolina (SONC) is looking for an assistant coach to help local Person County athletes with intellectual disabilities develop their skills, build confidence, and experience the joy of competition!
What You’ll Do:
- Attend a SONC Coaching Workshop to get prepared
- Work with the head coach to train and mentor athletes helping them grow and hone their basketball skills
- Be part of games supporting athletes as they compete
Time Commitment:
- SONC Coach Training (if you’re new to coaching with us)
- Thursday Night Practices - from March 27th through May 29th at the Huck Sansbury Recreation Complex gym in Roxboro
- Attendance at the Summer Games held in the Raleigh area from May 30 - June 1, 2025
