ABOUT THE VOLUNTEER ROLE:
As a Volunteer Tour Guide, you'll take hostel guests on a fun and informative trip to Coney Island, sharing its fascinating history, legendary boardwalk, fair and vibrant culture. This is a great opportunity to meet people from around the world while showcasing one of NYC’s most iconic destinations.
WHY VOLUNTEER WITH HI USA?

- Help bring people together and facilitate cultural exchange
- Build skills in public speaking, foreign languages, intercultural communication, and more

PURPOSE/DEFINITION and HI USA MISSION
HI USA is 501(c)(3) non-profit education association. Our purpose is to "inspire a deeper understanding of people places and cultures for a more tolerant world." As a non-profit, the revenues we receive through overnight stays and memberships is reinvested in mission delivery.

Who We Are
We bring travelers together in the largest hostel network in the USA, but that’s just the start: from local tours and experiences, to experiential learning programs, HI USA strives to bring moments of cultural understanding to our guests and community members. HI USA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, member-based organization that reinvests our surpluses back into our hostels and programs so they can have an even greater impact, year after year.
