YES! Open Board Role Descriptions

The open positions are: Fundraising Chair(s), Social Media Chair, Data & Evaluation Chair, and Youth Representative(s). See detail below.

If you are interested in taking part in the board but do not have capacity for one of these roles, you may also apply for Board Member At Large. If you are applying to the Board Member at Large role, please note if there are any other positions you would be open to filling. Applications for Board Member at Large are the most competitive and generally can only be filled after the open positions are filled.

Our mission: To provide anti-oppressive, consent-based, pleasure-focused sexuality education to all people using interactive workshops, social media, and other mediums.

Description

Current programming: YES! provides ~175 workshops each year to people of all ages. For our youth programming, we partner with public and private K-12 schools, after-school programs, preschools, and other community organizations. We also offer programming for adults at colleges and universities, workforce development programs such as AmeriCorps and PowerCorps PHL, and community organizations such as Fishtown Wellness Center, Vox Populi, and SHIP. Additionally, we lead workshops for parents and caregivers about how to talk to their children about a variety of sexuality- and consent-related topics, as well as offering one-on-one educational sessions to support parents/caregivers with specific sexuality-related issues they are facing with their children. YES! also offers professional development trainings for teachers and healthcare providers. We are currently able to offer programming in English and Spanish.

In addition to our educational workshops, YES! creates other educational resources, including a podcast called What is Sex? , which explores questions asked by young people in our sexuality education workshops. Other resources include a consent coloring book and various coloring sheets.
