Volunteers with BIG HEARTS are needed to provide support and companionship to elders with life-limiting illnesses. Your compassion will bring joy, comfort and connection to patients as they enter their last stages of life. You will receive an orientation and training, and will be well-supported by the hospice team. What can you do as a hospice patient volunteer?
- Friendly visit with patient
- Be a listening ear
- Play cards or a game
- Sit outdoors with them on a patio
- Walk their dog
- Play a musical instrument and/or sing
- Read a book
- Write letters that the patient dictates

Traditions Health is looking for compassionate volunteers willing to donate their time and offer friendship to our amazing hospice patients. Our patients love when volunteers make visits. Visits can include activities like reading, listening to music, talking, doing a craft together, and so much more!
