ORGANIZATION: Ames CROP Walk

image_20250223155025

The tory County CROP Hunger Walk Planning Team meets eight times per year. We plan the annual Story County CROP Hunger Walk. Last year, we raised $35,000! The money is split between Church World Service projects around the world and eight local agencies.

Our committee of six is looking for two new members. Specifically, we'd love to work with someone who is interested in working with local businesses around sponsorships; someone to oversee our social media accounts; or someone who is interested in marketing and promotion. But all skills and interests are welcome!

Our committee meets in Ames, with a hybrid option. We meet on Thursday evenings. Members of the planning team must be over 18 years old.

The next CROP Walk is Sunday, October 12, 2025.

Our group is affiliated with Church World Service, but everyone is welcome to join the committee and the walk. None of our local agencies have any religious requirements to receive assistance.
