Do you want to help trauma survivors get the funding and resources they need to heal?
If you have a passion for research, fundraising, or writing, this is your chance to make a real impact. The 1st 28 Foundation is looking for a Grant Research & Fundraising Volunteer to help us find funding opportunities that will allow us to expand our programs and reach more survivors.
Why This Role Matters?
Right now, many survivors don’t have access to the tools they need to heal. The 1st 28 Foundation provides free journals, digital resources, and empowerment programs to trauma survivors, but we need funding to grow. Every grant we secure means more survivors get the support they deserve. Your work will directly help us provide more healing resources, expand partnerships, and make a lasting impact.
What You Will Do
✔️ Research and identify grant opportunities for trauma recovery programs
✔️ Compile a list of potential donors, sponsors, and corporate partners
✔️ Assist in writing fundraising materials and sponsorship proposals
✔️ Help with crowdfunding campaigns and donor outreach
✔️ Work with our team to develop creative fundraising strategies
What We Are Looking For
- Strong research and writing skills (grant writing experience is a plus, but not required!)
- Someone who loves finding opportunities and making connections
- Passion for mental health, trauma recovery, and nonprofit work
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Experience with Google Docs, Excel, or fundraising platforms (helpful but not required

The 1st 28 Foundation is dedicated to supporting trauma survivors during their first 28 days of healing and beyond. We provide compassionate resources, educational tools, and community support to help survivors navigate their journey with strength and resilience.
