The Laurel Foundation is seeking caring, compassionate, kind, and fun mentors to volunteer as camp counselors for Camp Laurel' Teen Adventure Camp (Fun, Educational, Leadership & Career-Based Camp) (Kids 13-17)!

Join us for the best week of the summer, July 26- Aug 2, 2024, at a university in Los Angeles (site TBD).

We are currently accepting applications for:

Camp Counselors
Camp Medical Team: MD, RN, NP, PA etc.
Camp Help Team: Social workers, LMFT, LCSW, etc.

What is the Laurel Foundation? The Laurel Foundation serves children, youth and families impacted by HIV/AIDS and transgender and gender-diverse children and teens through life changing camping and educational programs.

What will you do? Be part of a team of volunteers that helps over-see a group of youth, ages 13-17, and spend time guiding them with kindness and care through a week of activities providing educational, career-based fun activities around town while residing in the dorms of a university in Los Angeles (site TBD).


Who can volunteer? The Laurel Foundation welcomes great volunteers and mentors from all walks of life. All of our volunteers are at least 18 years old, have full vaccination against COVID-19, can pass a criminal background check, and attend two days of training. Our volunteers come from all walks of life and share a common goal to empower and support children and teens. We especially welcome volunteer applications from LGBTQ+ and HIV community members, all are welcome.
