Do you want to be a part of a community that is making a lasting impact in people's lives? Perhaps you would like to volunteer with our Circles program.

Circles is a beautiful program that focuses on building a compassionate and dedicated community in order to end local poverty. With Circles our main objective is to empower low-income individuals. We walk alongside them as they make steps towards a more stable future. We help them build caring support systems that offer friendship, guidance, and encouragement. We also help them access life-changing opportunities such as better paying jobs, affordable education, valuable community resources, etc.

During this collaborative process friendships are made, bonds are created, and a community is formed. Then something magical happens - a sense of belonging and purpose begins to emerge for everyone. This is the secret ingredient and one of the most powerful catalysts for real, lasting change.

During our weekly meetings we provide a meal for all the participants and volunteers. We are feeding upwards of 50 people a meeting. It takes a village to feed a village! So we are looking for folks who can help with the coordination and management of this meal. (there is no cooking involved!) It would include tasks like:

  • picking up the meal from the location
  • making a stop at a grocery store for any supplement food like salad, fruit, bread if needed. (we, of course, cover the costs of this)
  • ensuring we have enough drinks, plates, cups, utenstils, etc for every week.
  • getting the meal heated and ready to be served at 6:30pm.
  • help with clean up, and ensuring the kitchen looks the same as we found it.

Please note, there will be no cooking involved with this! Our meal is already prepared, we just need to heat it up. The only thing you might have to put together is a salad or a fruit plate. Also it is not necessary for one person to do all the tasks listed above. These are just the places where we need support.

If this sounds like something you might be interested in, please reach out. We are happy to explain more about the program and the volunteer opportunity. We hope you will join us as we build community to end poverty!
