The Fletcher Street Urban Riding Club (FSURC) seeks a passionate and creative volunteer Social Media Content Creator to help us share our story and mission with the world! We provide a safe and enriching environment for urban youth to connect with horses, learn valuable life skills, and experience the rich history of Black cowboys. This is a fantastic opportunity for a marketing, communications, or journalism student (or anyone with a passion for social media and our mission!) to gain real-world experience and build their portfolio.

About FSURC:

The Fletcher Street Urban Riding Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the legacy of Black cowboys and empowering urban youth through horsemanship. We offer a variety of programs, including riding lessons, club events, and educational workshops. We are committed to fostering a strong sense of community and promoting positive youth development.

Responsibilities:

• Develop engaging and informative social media content (text, images, and videos) for various platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).

• Create content that highlights our programs, events, partnerships, and the rich history of Black cowboys.

• Showcase the impact of FSURC on our community and the youth we serve.

• Promote local community events and uplift other local organizations.

• Collaborate with the FSURC team to develop a consistent brand voice and visual identity.

• Schedule and publish social media posts.

• Monitor social media channels and engage with followers.

• Track social media analytics and provide reports on performance.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Creativity and a passion for storytelling.

• Interest in our mission to serve the community and preserve the history of Black cowboys.

• Experience with graphic design or video editing is a plus.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in marketing, communications,2 journalism, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
