Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

Gatehouse positions available at our campgrounds (Foscue Creek, Jennings Ferry, Forkland, and Service Park). All individuals will be subject to full background checks.

We operate our 4 class A campgrounds year-round, exclusively with volunteers. Schedules are usually 3-4 days on with 4-6 days off. Commitments normally are for 3 - 6 months, but feel free to ask about other commitment opportunities. Sites provided are full hookup with water, sewer, and 50/30-amp service.

Open gates at 6am and close gate at 10 pm. Hosts will be operating R1S software, check in/out campers, issue various passes, document shelter reservations. Make sure campsites are in an acceptable condition for incoming campers (fire rings, grills cleaned, and campsites blown off if needed). Answer telephone during the entire length of your shift (day and night). Provide visitors with information on park and local area.

Dependable and friendly people looking to assist campers and park visitors.

Works independently with spouse or traveling companion, some indoor and outdoor duties.
