Location: Virtual & In-Person (Harrisburg, PA)
Commitment: 2-4 hours per month
Who We Serve: Adults returning from incarceration
Dream Builders Foundation is seeking dedicated mentors to support individuals reentering society after incarceration. Many reentrants face housing instability, employment barriers, and social stigma-but with the right guidance, they can rebuild their lives successfully.
As a mentor, you’ll offer encouragement, guidance, and practical advice to help participants navigate the challenges of reentry, fostering confidence, self-sufficiency, and long-term success.
Your Role as a MentorProvide one-on-one mentorship based on the mentee’s personal goals
Encourage positive decision-making and personal growth
Assist with job readiness (resume building, interview prep, networking)
Support emotional well-being by being a trusted, nonjudgmental advocate
Connect mentees to community resources and opportunities
Passionate individuals with patience and empathy
Experience in mentorship, coaching, case management, or workforce development (preferred but not required)
Professionals with backgrounds in social work, HR, counseling, or business (a plus!)
Formerly incarcerated individuals who have successfully reintegrated and want to pay it forward
Make a direct impact in someone’s life
Gain mentorship and leadership experience
