PORCH Neighborhood Coordinators are the heart of our success! Each month you will mobilize your Apex neighbors to ensure local food pantries are stocked with items most needed by the community. We provide a proven model and the support needed to have an impact in as little as 3 hours a month.
As a Neighborhood Coordinator you will:
- Spread the word about PORCH using word of mouth, social media, email, etc.
- Collaborate with your local pantry to understand their specific food needs
- Encourage your neighbors to donate a bag of non-perishable food each month
- Deliver the collected bags of food to your local food pantry and thank your wonderful neighbors
- Report your results to PORCH headquarters and share lessons learned to build a stronger PORCH community

Description
PORCH Inc fights food insecurity by creating sustainable hunger relief programs at the local level. Started in 2010 in Chapel Hill, NC, PORCH has grown into a repeatable model of monthly neighborhood food drives and fresh produce distribution supplying food pantries, schools, and community programs across the country. PORCH’s volunteer network of 50 chapters in 12 states, has contributed more than $12 million dollars in hunger relief.

- An initial interest meeting reviews the program. Once a licensing agreement is signed, volunteers will onboard and train on the resources available to them. We provide support throughout your time as a volunteer.
