We are currently looking for an individual in the Burlington, IA area to join our Volunteer Driver team. Be part of a great organization that directly impacts the lives of those in our communities! Requirements: Since personal vehicle is used for transport. must have access to a reliable vehicle * At least 25 years old * Pass driving background check * Maintain current driver's license & safe driving record * Able to lift 40 lbs * 6-month commitment minimum * Positive, friendly attitude We Provide: Safe, welcoming environment * Embroidered polo and sweatshirt * Mileage reimbursement * Training * Recognition * Volunteer referral program * Time off whenever needed Responsibilities: Arrive at Burlington Donor Center at the scheduled time * Load product from the Burlington Donor Center and safely transport it to Davenport, IA, Lab (with additional pickup at Muscatine Donor Center on the way to Davenport every other week.) * Complete orientation and any ongoing required ongoing training * Maintain a current driver’s license & safe driving record * Communicate anticipated & unexpected absences through proper channels, ASAP * Complete and submit mileage form for reimbursement

The Blood Center is a volunteer-based organization that involves volunteer blood donors, a voluntary board of trustees, and community volunteers. Volunteers provide a much needed and valued service to our donors, patients and staff. We serve over 115 hospitals in 4 states and utilize volunteers from many areas to assist in our operations. Headquarters for the organization, as well as component processing, is located in Davenport, Iowa.
