Come out to Washburn to help maintain the school district’s existing school gardens that include a vegetable garden, orchard, bioswale, butterfly garden, habitat field, high tunnel, school forest, and aquaponics lab on the grounds of the Washburn School District. Volunteers will work the full-time district garden caretaker in all parts of care of this area. From mowing, weeding, trimming, building raised beds, mulching, planning, planting, maintaining, and harvesting vegetable, trees, and native plantings. Our offices in Superior and Ashland, WI offers Homeless Services, Permanent Supportive Housing, Domestic Violence Rapid Rehousing, Free Tax Return Preparation, RSVP (a volunteer program for those 55+), coordinated entry and many other services.
