PAX ~ Program of Academic Exchange works with your school district and surrounding districts on accepting exchange students. Together, we educate students and the community on world cultures. I am looking for families that love children, want to learn about other cultures and countries, and would be interested in changing a child's life forever by hosting a high school foreign exchange student. The students will be arriving in August for the 2025/26 school year. If your family is like that, or you know a family who is, and would be interested in hosting an exchange student, message me at sabrinah@pax.org. See available students at www.pax.org/finder. About PAX Program Of Academic Exchange

Location:

149 S HOME AVE, FRANKLIN, IN 46131, US

Mission Statement

PAX Laurasian Exchange envisions a global community of people who are open minded and appreciate cultural differences, because we believe such a community is a fertile field for justice, peace, and prosperity. We aspire to be the quality leader in academic exchange and experiential learning, because we believe such experiences transform the individual’s ability to influence our world for the better. PAX-Program of Academic Exchange provides global education and exchange opportunities for students, host families, schools and communities to open doors, embrace cultures and become family.

Description

From it's beginning, 30 years ago, PAX has been selected as one of few exchange programs approved to work with DOS sponsored students from the FLEX (Future Leaders Exchange) and YES (Kennedy Lugar Youth Exchange Study) programs. Coordinated after the fall of the Soviet Union and 911, respectively, these programs are hugely impactful in building ties between countries and breaking down barriers.

PAX now serves nearly 1,000 participants each year from more than 70 countries, using the same values as that modest organization started in a private home. Along the way, the organization has added offices in Seattle and Tokyo. PAX maintains a mission-driven staff of 30, and enjoys a network of hundreds of committed volunteers and welcoming high schools throughout the U.S. To date, more than 24,000 students have successfully completed the PAX program.

Whether they hail from Europe, Asia, Africa, or Latin America, PAX students share one goal: to experience the real U.S. as a student and family member. Share your America-invite a PAX student into your home and watch how you all grow! Search students here: https://hub.exos2.pax.org/studentFinder.php
