Mission Statement
The mission of PAWS for SJACS (Pet Awareness and Welfare Society) is to support and work with the San José Animal Care & Services (SJACS) to reduce the number of homeless animals and to increase awareness of the value of companion pets in the home and community.
Description
We are the all-volunteer nonprofit support group for the San Jose Animal Care Center (SJACC). We strive to increase adoptions by offering medical subsidies to rescue groups that take in animals from SJACC that have special medical needs. We hope to reduce the number of animals entering SJACC by educating people in the community about humane animal care and responsible pet ownership.
