Join the Institute for Regional Conservation in this exciting project with the City of Boca Raton! On Saturday, March 8th from 9 am to 11 am. IRC and our volunteers will be working together to remove nonnative species from the park and the beach dune. Please meet us at in front of the entrance of South Beach Park, make a left into the park, and park in front of the bathroom area. A map of where to meet will be sent to your email upon registration. We will have a sign in table in the parking lot. Groups of volunteers will be instructed how to remove nonnative plants and learn about coastal ecosystems.
There is no experience required! So grab a friend and come out to help repair the essential biodiversity of South Beach Park's beach dune ecosystem. Whether this is your first volunteer event with us or you're a repeat volunteer, we are so excited to have you join the IRC family and see how much fun habitat restoration can be!
Please be sure to RSVP if you want to sign up to participate in this event.
We recommend that you wear comfortable outdoor clothing, you will be in full sun. Wear a hat and sunscreen! Bring a reusable water bottle and anything else that makes you comfortable in the outdoors! We will provide the rest.
We will send a reminder email before the event so please be sure you sign-up to receive the details.

Mission Statement
A private non-profit organization, The Institute for Regional Conservation (IRC) is dedicated to the protection, restoration, and long-term management of biodiversity on a regional basis, and to the prevention of regional extinctions of rare plants, animals and ecosystems.
Description
Based in Florida, USA, IRC works on conservation research and action throughout South Florida, the Caribbean and beyond. Our work is premised on an innovative idea of conservation that seeks to protect and restore viable populations of all plant and animal species within a region, rather than simply focusing on charismatic animals or plants with narrow global ranges.
